Fell Down Shute.

Last Saturday morning the remains of Balthazar Gornick were interred in Lakeview cemetery, the Rev. Jos. F. Buh officiating. Mr. Balthazar was a late arrival in this country, having arrived in Soudan only the week before and was employed in the Minnesota mine at that place. He was not an experienced miner and to this cause his death is probably due. In attempting to get away from a blast which he and some other workmen had set off he stepped into a Shute falling a distance of about 53 feet killing him instantly. The deceased leaves a brother and sister in Soudan to mourn his loss.
