Greenwood Votes — new clerk and supervisor
TUESDAY MARCH 8, 2016 — Greenwood Township residents elected two new township officers to the town board today with nearly 400 ballots being cast. Incumbent township clerk, Ellen Trancheff, who has served in this position for 31 years, was defeated by challenger Sue Droback. Ms. Droback received 260 votes while Ms. Trancheff received only 134 votes.
In the supervisor’s race Carmen Deluca was the winner receiving 240 votes. Competitors for the supervisor position, Donald Doroff received the support of 134 voters and Byron Beihoffer had the support of 17 voters. Mr. Deluca will fill the position of supervisor previously held by Kirsten Reichel.
Other supervisors on the board, which did not face election contests this year, are: Gene Baland, John Bassing, John Milbridge and Richard Worringer. Township treasurer Delores Clark also remains in her position having not faced an election contest this year.
