The “Y” Store

Located at the junction of MN Highway 169, County Higway 1 and County Highway 77 (Angus Rd.) the “Y” Store has long been a landmark serving the Lake Vermilion community and visitors with gas, bait, grocery and convenience merchandise. This undated, mid 20th century, photograph depicts the orginal store and tourist cabins.
