VERMILION IRON JOURNAL—Thursday, October 13, 1887

A horse driven by a couple of the demi-monde yesterday afternoon partly upset the buggy in front of Oppel’s store, letting one of the “inmates” to the ground rather suddenly. The patent wire fandango about her dress saved her from any serious injury.

E. F. Atwood cane in from his trip to his claim last Monday evening with Mat Hannon. He was not glad to get home. Oh, no! He fairly ran when he got in site of town and since then has been shaking dice with more luck than usual. Wonder what he did to change his luck.
